“If music be the food of love, play on!” A collaborative concert with Bay Theatre Company and Ballet Theatre of Maryland. Scenes from Bernstein’s West Side Story and Bellini’s version of Romeo & Juliet, I Capuletti e i Montecchi PLUS excerpts from Shakespeare’s plays, the balcony scene from Prokofiev’s ballet Romeo & Juliet, and inspired artwork and quotes by local students projected as the backdrop. Metropolitan Opera and Santa Fe Opera star Danielle Pastin makes her Annapolis Opera debut alongside Elizabeth Pojanowski, and returning tenor, Sean Arnold, from 2011’s Opera Amore! concert.
