Education & Outreach

Each season, Annapolis Opera Company (AOC) presents an opera especially developed for elementary students in performances for schools as well as for the public. Schools from throughout the area bring groups of students to experience live opera in a concert hall setting. Teacher’s kits sent in advance prepare the children by teaching them about the basics of opera as an art form as well as the story of the opera they’ll see. After the performance, students interact with the artists in a question & answer session.

AOC offers students (with valid ID) special prices for all performances $10 rush tickets 30 minutes before the performances.

Students can attend the Opera dress rehearsal for $5, on the Wednesday prior to Opening Night.

This year Annapolis Opera is collaborating with Towson University Opera to present Barab's Little Red Riding Hood
